Hurricane Katrina:
It's been several days since I last updated my Blog. With the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and the escalating, ridiculous gas prices, I've been sorta distracted. Gas worries has left me hurting in my pockets and the uncertainty about future road travels. About my worries are nothing compared to what is going on in New Orleans or the people affected there. Their homes have been destroyed, looters have turned killers, floodwaters have become waste sewage, and dead bodies floating everywhere while I am sitting here worrying about how gas prices are affecting my wallet.
There's one thing to learn from this and other natural disasters, they prove as always that complacency can be your downfall. It happens every time, though. And it happens to almost anyone. There's more to be said, but I will remain quiet..........
Gas Prices:
Gas Prices are really price gouging, but the friendly folks at Oil companies and Gasoline Dealers are not going to tell you that, but their motive is to expand shareholder wealth by means of profit maximization. It's something I've learned in my Business studies, but it doesn't take an MBA graduate to figure that out.
Movies:
Last weekend, Shelly and I saw The Transporter 2. Okay, the plot was unrealistic and corny, but the action was very good. The protagonist for this movie is one-liner king. He's not as bad those suave James Bond one-liners. The favorite part of the movie is where...well, I don't want to spoil it for you. If you want action for an hour and 30 minutes then this is the movie you should see.
Fall Season:
I'm so glad that the Fall Season is unofficially here. (Fall officially starts September 22, 2005) Now, the weather will be milder, less humid, and leave changing. I absolutely love the Fall. Maybe I can take some pictures of the changing leaves and post them. It's one of the things that become a perk in the south. Another good thing about the Fall Season is Football Season. I'm looking forward to seeing the Panthers in action with most the roster back on the active list after many a plethora of injuries. I hope they can go all the way.
Home-Cooked:
I'm learning to appreciate the art of cooking for myself. This is something that has become a realization since I discovered I could actually cook baked chicken. It was really good. Next cooking project: Cooking an actually dinner by myself for other people.
Well, that is all for now. Nothing else I can write about that is not embarrassing or that is newsworthy.
P.S. Shouts outs to my frequent Blog counterparts, Stacy and Diane.
P.S. 2. Please excuse any grammatical errors that may be contained in this error-free blog.

Hey, you gave me shoutout!
I feel loved.
LOL
Gas prices suck and that's why I'm probably going to move somewhere where I won't get screwed over (as much) about gas other than the Motor City.
Learning how to cook is good.
Home cooked meals are even better.
Glad to see you wrote something
ALways YOUrs,
Diane
