Back to School

Ah, back to school. It's a time for much rejoicing. After a summer of rambunctious-ness and craziness, I get a break from the evil syndicate of juveniles. At work, the entire staff rejoices as a new school starts. Things will start to slow down and I can finally take a breather.

I well remember those days. Going back to school, the shopping for school clothes and school supplies. Shopping for new school clothes was so much fun for me. Every year I would think to myself: "Yep, I'm going to turn heads". But I noticed on the first day, that everyone had on new clothes, so making an impression upon my classmates was a difficult task because everyone was more focused into how they look rather than how others looked.

I also enjoyed getting school supplies. For some unknown reason, I've developed a affinity for stationery supplies. I love Mead notebook and three-ring binders and lead pencils. (In school, having a lead pencil was like having a 20 dollar bill.) What's even cooler about back to school is that in my state of South Carolina, there's a no-sales tax holiday before school begins. Which means that you come out saving hordes of money. Which also means that people (and their children) will be out shopping for school stuff and not spending (wasting) their time at the Library.

I love it. Absolutely love it. It's not that I hate kids. I adore them. I just don't like being around them too long. My sanity starts to diminish. I feel so sorry for those teachers out there. They have my sympathy and empathy.

I hate going to back to school and yet I like it.
I hate it because I don't like waking up early, but being at school means I won't get nagged at by my mom.
Glad you get a break from the kids.
Always Yours,
Diane
