Good Monday

Today is not half bad. At about 8:23 am, Ashley calls and wakes up. She tells me that she is watching the Star Wars movies and so we have this in-depth discussion about the world of Star Wars. Her motivation for watching these classics is because of me. I'm so influential, aren't I? I believe that she has been greatly deprived of such good entertainment. Every human being should be able to enjoy this Sci-Fi classic whether in a third world country or some highly industrialized society.

I learned today the outcome of my summer session classes: Sociology, History, Public Speaking, and English Fiction. I have managed to earn all A's except for a ‘B’ in English Fiction. I was about seven points short of an ‘A’. It's not fair. Why oh Why? Only if I had attempted the extra credit, I would have enjoyed the benefits of an 'A' right now, not to mention the bragging rights. Next time, I must try harder even if it means my very sanity. This class was very demanding, but enjoyable in some aspects. I take back all the means things I said about my English professor. He's a good guy now. Funny, how we love or like our educators when we have good grades, but when we get undesired grades, we tend to do treat them as scapegoats as it were. I am guilty as charged.

Yesterday, a friend and me saw the Bourne Supremacy. We missed about the first sixteen minutes of the movies due to an uncontrollable tendency to be tardy to every known human function. As for the movie, it was ok. I’m not sure why it made the number one for a week or so. I was expecting a more expanded plot. The chase scene was excellent. It’s interesting to see how many times a taxicab can take so many bumps and crashes without breaking down into a pile of debris. I'm serious. Matt Damon's character was driving this taxicab in the climax of the movie and it was hit so many times by other cars while he was being chased by the Russian-bad-guy-sniper-assassin-dude. Either he had a really durable car or they replaced it many times. I guess you have to watch it yourself to understand what I 'm talking about.

Today also happens to be the start of school for children in my area. What does that mean? Well, that means that work is will be much quieter until 3:00 when they get out. For the staff, it's a good thing.

Tonight, Ashley is going to call me and I guess I will do some Star Wars trivial just to assess her newly-acquired knowledge of Star Wars. We shall see if the Force is strong with her.

My boss made some very good brownies today in celebration for the back-to-school day. They're chewy with caramel and they have nuts in them.

ME must eat before THEY eat them all.

That is all for now. Until later....I hope.
